The hammer mills are equipped with robust classifier screens to obtain the output size desired by the customer to maximize their production process. Hammer mills are designed to facilitate an easy replacement of the classifier screens if there is a need to change the size of the output material. Stokkermill hammer mills are equipped with a special opening mechanism to facilitate the removal and positioning of the classifier screens. Stokkermill hammer mills can be used for different activities within a metal recycling plant.

Stokkermill hammer mills can be used as primary crushers if larger sizes are required 100 mm. In this case medium-sized hammer mills such as the HM120 Stokkermill hammer mill or HM500 Stokkermill hammer mill models are required. The output material can be further processed by the same hammer mill after replacing the classifier screens with a smaller one(s) or it can be processed by a second hammer mill (refiner hammer mill) equipped with a smaller classifier screen. Hammer mills are very often used as a secondary crushing machine, as a refiner hammer mill. In this case, the hammer mill classifier screens will have smaller dimensions holes to give the output product the right size.

In this case our C-series industrial shredders with hydraulic movement equipped with a single shaft and hydraulic pusher or, alternatively the D series industrial twin-shaft shredders are used as primary shredders before the hammermills.
