Plants for recycling copper coils of small and medium size transformers with crushing and sorting systems to allow final separation of the copper fractions, the ferrous fractions and any plastic fractions
Plants for recycling windings from copper coils of small and medium size transformers is carried out through the use of crushing and shredding systems to allow final separation of the copper fractions, the ferrous fractions and any plastic fractions. The small and medium-sized refiner hammer mills - compact hammer mill HM45 or HM60 - represent the most efficient and suitable solution for primary crushing of copper-containing coils. The compact refiner mill, in fact, is able to crush the coils and small transformers, with a weight not exceeding 4 kg per unit. The crushing carried out by the compact hammer mill refiner is able to produce a finely crushed and separated output material that reduces the accumulation of filaments allowing the improvement of downstream activities.
The material thus processed can be further refined using a granulation and separation system of the type K500 Muliflex or similar. The recycling plant for coils and transformers is able to work automatically with the supervision of an operator in charge of the loading of the material, which can take place through a feeding belt equipped with a loading hopper. The capacity of the recycling line of copper coils and small transformers can have variable capacity with a minimum of 300-400 kg/h. The recovery of high-value metallic materials such as copper is increasingly required in the collection, recovery and valorization of industrial waste. Stokkermill has always designed and studied new solutions to modernize the recycling industry.
